Love Notes

While I routinely harass my representatives with volleys of email describing my concerns, hopes, and criticisms, I generally restrain myself when it comes to contacting representatives beyond my domain.

Today, that changed.

It changed because New York State Senator Diane Savino's speech on the Senate floor regarding same-sex marriage was simply brilliant. Eloquent, passionate, logical, and even-handed I agree with her every word.

New York State committed a crime against the principal of equality on Wednesday, but Senator Savino was correct in stating that equality advocates did not go home unbowed and the struggle will continue. Thank you, Senator, for standing on the side of equality.

If you'd like to send your own message to Senator Savino, her email address is savino@senate.state.ny.us or, if you'd prefer, you can use this automated form.
